MIRACLE FOR JEN by Linda Barrick

It was the night of November 5, 2006. As the Barrick family returned quietly home from church, their van was struck out of the blue by a drunken, hit-and-run driver.

Jen, aged fifteen, suffered the most extensive multiple skull fractures and severe brain trauma. Not expected to survive, unbelievably, inexplicably, against all odds, she did.

After five weeks of lingering in a coma, she suddenly opened her eyes, praying and praising God. She conversed with God in perfectly intelligible language.

Jen trusted Jesus and His undying love for her. As she sang and prayed in her clear, strong voice, it was as if she was perfectly normal, exactly as her mother, Linda had prayed for her healing. Only her body was damaged, not her soul. Jen was alive and well in spirit and in truth.

Although Jen could not recognize her parents or little brother, she remembered Jesus and every single song of praise and Holy Scripture she had ever learnt.

“Miracle for Jen” is the remarkably true story of an extraordinarily brave and courageous family who overcame a most terrible and horrific tragedy to trust God's amazing plan for their lives.
